The Smoky Mountain Athletic Club (SMAC) was formed in 2001 as a non-profit organization to foster the growth of rugby football in the East Tennessee Area. SMAC is the parent organization of Knoxville Youth Rugby (High School and Middle School Tackle Rugby), SMAC Rookie Rugby (K-8th Grade Flag Rugby), and the Tennessee Rugby Park and was organized to provide a unified voice for youth rugby in East Tennessee.
